We decorate each part of the celebration: the nişan (engagement), where the rings joined by a red ribbon are cut by an elder; the kına gecesi (henna night) in red and gold with candles, lanterns, and a seat of honor for the bride; and the düğün (wedding) reception with a head-table or sweetheart stage, a large dance floor, and room for the whole family.

Dance-First Design
Built Around the Dance Floor
At many Turkish weddings the dance floor matters more than the centerpieces. Guests are up and moving for hours, so we design the room around it: tables pulled back to make a wide floor, the stage or head table where the family can see the dancing, lighting that looks good in video, and a clear path for the musicians and their equipment.
For kına gecesi, the room is usually smaller and warmer. We use red velvet and gold, lanterns, candle trays for the henna procession (battery candles where the venue requires them), and a low, decorated seat for the bride in her bindallı.
Some families hold the henna night at home or in a community hall and the wedding at a larger venue. We can move décor between the two and handle both setups.
