How much does a wedding decorator cost in Columbus, Ohio?
Events By Maryam's per-event planning figures are $1,500–$4,000 for Essential, $3,500–$8,000 for Premium and $7,000–$15,000+ for Luxury. Guest count, room, stage size and florals move the total. Travel is quoted separately, and the written quote sets the final price.
What does a wedding decorator do?
A wedding decorator designs and installs the look of the room: stage, backdrop, florals, draping, lighting and guest tables. Events By Maryam's own crew delivers, sets up and takes down the décor, and the written quote lists every element. Per-event planning figures start at $1,500.
Is wedding décor priced per guest?
No. Events By Maryam prices per event by tier: Essential $1,500–$4,000, Premium $3,500–$8,000, Luxury $7,000–$15,000+. Guest count changes the table count, and extra guest tables beyond your tier are priced per table in your written quote.
How many events has Events By Maryam decorated?
More than 150 events since September 2024. Our dated records list 138 from March 2025 to September 2026: 100 at 73 named venues (70 in Ohio), 7 in private homes and 31 with no recorded venue. Client names are never published.
How do I get a quote?
Send your date, venue, guest count and event details through the inquiry form, call or text (614) 927-9772, message us on WhatsApp, or DM us on Instagram. We reply within one business day with a written quote.
How do I reserve my date?
A signed agreement and a 50% deposit reserve your date. The remaining 50% is due 72 hours before your event, unless your written agreement specifies otherwise. Dates are not held without the deposit.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Zelle and Venmo. Payment details are sent privately with your invoice.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Cancellation, rescheduling and rental-damage terms are outlined in your signed service agreement. Ask us before you sign if anything is unclear.
How far ahead should I book?
Events By Maryam recommends booking wedding décor 3–6 months ahead, especially for May–October dates. Short-notice dates depend on availability and scope, so call or text (614) 927-9772 to check. A signed agreement and a 50% deposit reserve the date.
Prices Questions
Is the online estimate my final price?
No. The estimator gives a planning estimate, not a final quote or availability confirmation. Your written quote sets the price for your event, venue, guest count and design.
Where do wedding estimates start?
For a wedding reception or a Nikkah/Walima, the estimator's planning figures start at $1,500 (Essential), $3,500 (Premium) and $7,000 (Luxury). Other event types are listed in the planning table. Compare tiers on packages.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel and delivery depend on the venue, distance and setup requirements. Your written quote will confirm these costs.
Do you offer multi-day wedding packages?
Yes. Many families book several events, such as a Mehndi, Nikkah and Walima, as one package. See packages and send us every event with its date and venue.

What is included in an Events By Maryam décor quote?
Design, delivery, setup and takedown by our own crew. Your written quote lists every element, such as stage, backdrop, florals, seating, tables and lighting.
Do you rent décor without setup?
Select décor rentals may be available by request. Contact us to confirm the items, availability, pickup or delivery, and whether professional setup is required.
Have you worked at my venue?
Our records list 70 Ohio venues, 3 out of state and 7 private homes. Check the venue list. If yours is new to us, we confirm load-in times, open-flame rules and wall-attachment rules with your coordinator before we design.
Can you set up the day before?
Yes, when the venue allows it. For a September 2026 wedding at Mill Run Event Center we decorated the day before, so the room was ready early on the wedding day.
Do you decorate homes, churches and temples?
Yes. Our records include celebrations in private homes, a Syro-Malabar Catholic church ceremony at St. Mary's in Columbus, a wedding at North Fairfield Baptist Church in Hamilton, a wedding at the Hindu Temple of Greater Cincinnati, and celebrations at the Bharatiya Hindu Temple in Powell and the Guru Nanak Society of Greater Cincinnati. We never publish home addresses.

Which celebrations do you decorate?
Weddings and receptions, Nikkahs and Walimas, Mehndi, Dholki and Mayun nights, engagements, bridal and baby showers, Aqiqahs, graduations, Diwali and community events, and corporate galas. Will you show photos of my event?
We share event photos only with permission. Tell us any photography or publishing preferences before your event; our venue and event record lists omit client names; testimonials are credited separately.
