Home city

The Columbus page is the studio page — not another city clone

We are based at 555 Buttles Ave in Victorian Village, a few minutes from the Short North Arts District and about two miles north of downtown. Consultations happen by phone, Zoom, at your venue, or at a home visit — we come to you. Franklin County travel is included. This is the only city on the site that is our actual home base.

Columbus demand is not one neighborhood. Downtown and the Arena District book hotel ballrooms and skyline rooms — Hilton Columbus Downtown, Renaissance Columbus Downtown, Vue Columbus. East of I-270, the Bhutanese-Nepali community concentrates in Reynoldsburg, Whitehall, and Pickerington (kosha, swayambar, Dashain). North of Morse Road, the Somali community books Aroos stages in Northland halls and the Westerville corridor. New Albany and Dublin pull Indian mandaps and corporate galas. We design all of those from one truck.

Venues already named across this site — and the rooms we plan load-ins around — include The Fives, Vue Columbus, Hilton Columbus Downtown, The Estate at New Albany, Renaissance Columbus Downtown, Villa Milano, Jaffa Shrine Center, Makoy Center, and mosque and community settings such as Noor Islamic Cultural Center. We will not list a hall as a client unless you have a dated job. Tell us the room; we will ask about docks, union rules, and overnight holds before we quote.

Suburbs we treat as local (no travel fee): Dublin, Hilliard, Westerville, Reynoldsburg, New Albany, Gahanna, Powell, Worthington, Pickerington, and Grove City. Everything else on the two-hour map is a drive, quoted as a travel fee.

Portfolio from our Columbus work. City-specific photos are added when a family allows us to publish the venue.

What Columbus actually books

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a walk-in design studio in Columbus?

We are a Columbus-based service-area crew. Inventory is staged from 555 Buttles Ave (Victorian Village / Short North). Consultations are by phone, Zoom, at your venue, or at a home visit — we come to you. There is one Google listing for the whole Ohio radius, not a storefront you drop into unannounced.

Is there a travel fee for Columbus and Franklin County?

No. Franklin County is included. Dublin, Hilliard, Westerville, Reynoldsburg, New Albany, Gahanna, Powell, Worthington, Pickerington, and Grove City sit in that no-fee zone.

Which Columbus cultures do you actually design for?

Pakistani Nikkah/Walima, Somali Aroos, Nepali and Bhutanese swayambar/kosha, Indian/Hindu mandap, Arabic kosha, Afghan, Sikh, Habesha, and mixed receptions — plus corporate galas. We publish dedicated pages for those ceremonies rather than relabeling generic décor.

Where should a Somali family start vs a Nepali family?

Somali / Northland / Westerville: start at /somali-wedding-decorator and /aroos-decoration-columbus. Nepali / Bhutanese / Reynoldsburg: start at /nepali-wedding-decorator and /reynoldsburg.

How far in advance should Columbus peak dates book?

May–October cultural weekends: 6–12 months. We reply within one business day at (614) 927-9772 or bookings.eventsbymaryam@gmail.com.
