Check Capacity for Your Actual Layout
Ask for the seated capacity after accounting for your stage or mandap, dance floor, aisles, buffet stations and any separate ceremony area. A maximum standing or theater capacity is not the same as your usable wedding layout. Confirm accessibility and clear exit routes with the venue.
Ask About Catering Before You Book
Confirm whether outside catering is allowed for your particular room and package, which caterers are permitted, and whether there are kitchen, staffing or food-and-beverage requirements. Discuss halal, vegetarian or other dietary needs directly with the venue and caterer. We do not assume one rule applies to every hotel or community hall.
Match the Room to the Ceremony
- For a Nikkah or Katb Kitab, discuss seating, visibility, prayer-space needs and any venue or religious-space rules.
- For a Hindu ceremony, confirm the mandap dimensions, officiant's requirements and whether any open flame needs specific approval.
- For a Baraat or other arrival procession, confirm the permitted route, timing and sound arrangements.
- For separate or mixed seating, confirm the layout with your family and coordinator before the décor plan is finalized.
- For a Mehndi, Sangeet or other performance event, leave the agreed space for dancing, musicians and equipment.
Installation and Removal Can Decide What Is Practical
Ask when vendors can enter, whether earlier access is available, how the truck reaches the room, and when everything must be removed. Confirm rules for wall attachments, ceiling installations, freestanding structures, candles and power. Share the coordinator's written instructions with us.
