Garba-Night Décor for Columbus Halls & Hotels
Navratri in Columbus fills community halls, hotel ballrooms, and private society events with nights of Garba and Dandiya. Events By Maryam designs festive, durable décors that keep the circular dance floor clear, frame the DJ and singer, and give families a colorful entrance and photo wall — without treating Garba like a seated wedding reception.
Design priorities differ from a mandap wedding day: soft goods must tolerate hundreds of dancers, cable runs stay taped and outside the circle, and floral foam stays secured. We favor bold color blocking (magenta, saffron, emerald, ivory), fabric panels that move with HVAC, and lighting that flatters mirror-work outfits under mixed house LEDs.
Gallery images below are stages and florals from our Columbus cultural portfolio, not photos from a Navratri event. Related celebrations: Diwali, Hindu weddings, Haldi & Sangeet.

DJ / Stage Frame
Backdrop and lighting that keeps musicians visible above the circle.

Colorful walls for family photos before guests join the circle.

Neat drink and snack tables that survive continuous traffic.
Nine Nights, Hall Curfews & Footwear Realities
Navratri nights often stack back-to-back across community calendars. Book early if your society shares a hall with other groups. We can design a reusable entrance + stage kit for multi-night series when storage on-site is allowed, or a single peak-night fuller install.
Many halls ask guests to remove shoes near the dance floor. We keep floral and fabric bases stable so décor does not migrate when hundreds of people transition barefoot or in socks. Share footwear and flame rules with your first note to inquiry.
Travel across Dublin, Hilliard, Lewis Center, and downtown Columbus is routine. Travel and delivery depend on the venue, distance and setup requirements. Your written quote will confirm these costs. Sketch ranges on estimate or call (614) 927-9772.
Proposals list real inventory and crew call times only.
Mirror Work, Dupattas & Camera Flash
Mirror-work and sequins throw light differently than matte chiffon. We test uplight colors against a sample of your outfit palette when you can share fabric swatches. Gold and magenta reads festive on camera; overly cool white LEDs can flatten jewelry — we bias warm unless your photographer requests otherwise.
When Your Society Hosts Several Garba Evenings
Some Columbus societies run multiple Navratri nights in one hall. We can design a core kit — entrance, DJ frame, refreshment styling — that resets quickly between evenings, with optional peak-night upgrades (denser florals, extra uplights) for the weekend crowning celebration. Storage permission from the hall manager is the gating item; ask early.
Ticketed public Garba events may need sponsor logo space; private family Garba nights usually do not. Tell us which model you are running so signage hardware is right-sized. Book through inquiry or (614) 927-9772.
