Events By Maryam designs Ramadan décor for community iftars at mosques and Islamic centers, corporate and university iftars, and large family gatherings at home or in a hall.
An iftar has a different rhythm from a wedding. Guests arrive shortly before sunset, break the fast with dates and water, pray, and then eat. The décor has to work for all of that: a welcoming entrance, date and water stations that are ready the moment the adhan is called, a clear path to a prayer space, and dining tables that stay beautiful through a full meal.
We use lanterns, crescent and star motifs, warm lighting, low majlis-style seating where it suits the room, and table styling in gold, deep green, midnight blue, or whatever palette fits your community.

More Columbus companies now host an iftar for Muslim employees and invite the whole team. Done well, it is one of the most appreciated events of the year. Done carelessly, with food served before sunset or no place to pray, it misses the point.
We plan corporate iftars around the actual sunset time for your date, set a quiet, clean prayer space with direction to the qibla marked, keep dates and water at every table, and style the room so it feels like a dinner, not a conference break. We coordinate with your halal caterer on service timing.
For HR and ERG teams, we can also add a short signage set that explains Ramadan and the iftar meal for colleagues attending for the first time.

Book Before Ramadan 2027 Begins
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around February 7–8, 2027, with the exact date set by moon sighting. Eid al-Fitr is expected around March 9–10, 2027. Weekend iftar dates fill quickly, so we recommend booking by early January.
